Evening all, the end of this month with Wolves and the beginning of a frantic month that sees us play Southampton FA cup, Sevilla home and away in the Europa, mixed in with games against Liverpool, Villa and Spurs all in a period of 25 days.
A big squad would struggle with that workload,so let's hope we are running on Adrelanine for the next month because we are going to need it.
We are told by Soucek that Moyes has changed a few things around in training so who knows, but we could do with getting back to the way we started at the beginning of the season with a good tempo high energy performances that will hopefully kick start our March campaign
If you fancy a punt you can get

Ratch 40/1
Arthur 8/1
Desmond 12/1
Leonard 8/1

COME ON YOU MIGHTY IRONSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Zouma to be cruel to Wolves?

Charley, ted, all..

More of the same old shit, or we will finally turn up for a game? It's way overdue. With Liverpool next week we seriously need to win this game against a Wolves side that had a tough game just 3 days ago.

Soucek and Antonio really need to earn their crusts today.

Am not overwhelmed by optimism for this one. Wolves are a good side, hard to break down and dangerous on the counter. We'll do very well to win, and well to get a point.

:-)

Thanks as ever, Charley.

Hard to call this one as there are variables at play and without a crystal ball it's hard to predict, ie will we put in a long overdue performance, will the defeat at Arsenal makes Wolves aggrieved wanting to put it right, or will they be feeling low still? We need to get at them straight from the KO.

From kick-off to knock-out, then? OK.

Evening Charley
Morning all
This could go either or anyway couldn't it?
Start of a string of wins, more draws and not quite enough, or... can't say it.
Really is a season defining month coming up. I agree with Moyes, players work rate has been good and they will put a shift in I have no doubt. The question is, how will the concentration and passing be? Team can't keep carrying Antonio and a few others, if as predicted Antonio starts (I hope he doesn't) really need him to ignite things.
I guess a ratch is out of the question?
Thanks Charley

The pessimist in me says we won’t suddenly start doing anything different since December and Moyes only knows one team and one way to play so we’ll play bad and lose this convincingly by score line or by performance.

The optimist says we’ll try something different, like Soucek in the Fellani role and it’ll surprise the opposition and we’ll sneak a win.

The realist in me says option 1 is far more likely.

3-0 West Ham 😅

Yeh, got a good feeling about this one.
We’re due to slaughter someone and can see a 4-1 win, with Antonio to come back to life and knock in a couple. Come on West Ham!

Can't say I am looking forward to this one. It all feels so different to how it was last season and the first three months of this one. Come on West Ham - give me a pleasant surprise!

Pretty much a play-off for 7th this.

Win and we go 5 points ahead of them, lose and they go above us with a game in hand.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Wolves - Official Match Thread
To use an old adage,we're due a performance soon so it has every chance of being today would certainly improve the mood going into a fucker of a game next week.

I still maintain what said on the 'Seville' thread. We are going into March 6th in the league, still in the FA cup and in the last 16 in Europe. There isnt one of us who would have knocked that back last August.

2-0.

I see Chris Kavanagh has the VAR blindfold on again after his starring effort last night in Everton v Man C
Expect a pen or two

Need to isolate England's C Coady against Antonio and we will be fine today
Time to get going again

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Wolves - Official Match Thread
Billy - You're right one should always be optimistic before a game or what is the point, and it is a winnable game depsite our poor form and lack of options. The thing for me though is that we are now hoping for a performance rather than expecting one. We are way off from what we were before Christmas and last season.

This is a big old game, lose this with Liverpool next up and it will be looking grim for us in the league.

Strange team Wolves. Don't concede many (only two teams gave conceded fewer), don't score many (only two teams have scored fewer).

So has to be 4 - 4.
